Running w/ Warrior Diet

I wasn't able to go to the Krav yesterday so i took the time to run some. I run from time to time, sometimes 3-4 times a week, sometimes 1. But now when the weather is turning for the better and the sun finally is staying out i try to run as often as i can.

Yesterday i ran for ~9 Km , had a good pace and i enjoyed the freshness in the air (except for the mopeds driving by with their smelly exhausts). It was about 16 degrees and just crazy good running weather.

Anyways, there is a difference when your running on warrior diet and when your running on a normal diet. :)

On normal diet.

I always felt great running before, i drank one cup of coffee and had something to eat one hour prior before the run. I tried to eat little as possible so the body can burn fat instead of burning the stuff you have in your stomach. (An example is when you always should take your powerwalks on the morning before breakfast and such).

I used to run on the evening, and i always had eaten dinner, lunch and breakfast before.

After about 4-5 km i started to get hungry just because the food in my belly was gone and the body started to burn fat, if your not interested in burning fat and just getting in fit condition, you should have some energy bar or something like that with you so you can get that carbohydrate boost and continue.


On Warrior Diet how ever i am pretty amazed. Yesterday, and every other day when i have been running, i do it before my overeating period. 

So, on 3 apples, and 2 cups of coffee throughout the whole day, i managed to run at night, without the hunger feeling, without getting tired or dehydrated (HYDRATE!). And having the energy still after 8 km to run longer and with great speed, i even had a faster pace time the last 3 kilometers. 

Talk about burning fat. After the run i did some stretching and just lied on the ground, being.

Nothing can beat the feeling after a great run (except sex of course). ;)

Lately i have been down and under. Have some personal issues that are happening right now and i am not feeling on top of the world.

But as everything in my life, it is going to be O.K. I just need to hang on and take it easy and one day at the time.

Anyway, the Warrior diet is working fine, you don´t need to worry about me. I am not quitting that easy, there are still a lot of things that i have not tried yet while on the diet but the real test is going to come this summer when i arrive to my homeland Poland.

There is going to be a lot of food, all the time, and much of that to. I am a big fan of polish food and i love it. There will be no warrior diet for one week. I simply cant say no to grandmas wonderful egg-breakfast and my aunts chicken with potatoes. 

Wonder how the body is going to react though, interesting. 

Well, time to go off to work. Here is a picture of me when i weighed about 15 Kg s more then i do now.

Backfire

Well, what to say. I don´t know actually.

Warrior diet seems to have backfired. A small amount of people, including my girlfriend say that i have lost to much weight, and start to look to skinny for my own good.

So, i guess that 88 kg is to low for me to weigh. Sure, i have been down and been touching the 86 kg limit but only a few times.

It is weird because i feel stronger, more agile and getting a great condition.. I can run forever without breaking a sweat and i eat ALOT of food and even including pizzas, hamburgers, sometimes candy.

So we can slim it down to two options.
Either i am getting crazy, i am not as strong, agile nor getting a great condition, my body is breaking apart and falling into some kind of shock after 4 months of Warrior Diet. The end is near.

Or

The Warrior Diet is doing its job, working as it is supposed to do.
I am loosing weight in the right places and amount of it (fat not muscles), while getting agile and strong. And having a big energy supply that never seems to end after a hard days work and training.


I don´t know what to do actually. Is this the end?

RDR

Good morning, it is a foggy and groggy morning as i wake up. I feel the garlic in my breath, its pretty strong today, must do a mega ultra super tooth brushing session this morning, i need that.

Yesterday i took my 5 km run, it was warm and moist and i took notice of how much more heat i produced, talk about BURNING away the fat. But after the run i had a real good feeling. Endorphin is the new drug on the block. I need it all the time, and if i don´t work out or run or take the bike for a ride, i go down in a sadness mode. I have no idea how good or bad that is but it keeps me going those days that i otherwise wouldn't move an inch.

I am thinking of doing something like a categorized session in the blog, like private, warrior, other, games.. etc.. it is on a prototype stage anyway.

Anyways, off to work and then come home and take it easy, chill out, play some Red Dead Redemption. New game from Rockstar, same makers that made GTA IV, and its running on the same game\graphic engine but it plays out in the wild west, great stuff actually. Those Cowboys and Indians were real warriors in a way. :)

* Oh fuck, i forgot. Yesterday i ate some apples, nuts and 2-3 cups of coffee. After the run i just drank some water, and later on the evening about 2030 i ate a big tuna salad and for dessert i had chicken kebab with potatoes and more salad, then water-time again.

One of the main rules, when you feel more thirsty then hungry, stop eating, your body is full and its trying to tell you that.

Fuck you Fruit Center.

Just have to ease my mind some before i drink my coffee and prepare for a short run.

When we go to the store to buy food i often buy fruit and nuts as well, of course. ICA (the name of the supermarket where i do my groceries) always deliver fresh food and a wide variety of green goods.

But when the fruit supply comes to an end. I sometimes have to wander off to the stores that are close to home. One of them is a place called "Fruit Center".  

Imagine the center, feel it, touch it. I want you to think of the center when you go in and see all the fresh fruits, the green miles of apples, oranges, grapes, kiwis, papayas and all the fruits you can possible think of. 

The nice personnel who knows everything and anything about fruits and what they taste like. You are in fruit heaven.

What a wonderful vision of a fruit center. The vision you are having though is WRONG.

Instead, when you come in, the smell of rotten fruit hits you in the face like a punch from Mike Tyson, you see the fridges who contain those "fresh" foods leaking fluids on the floor that is already a mishmash of filth, flies and hair, i even feel sorry for my shoes when i enter.

They don´t want to take away the bad fruits, instead they push them forward on the shelves, and let the "fresh" fruit lie on the highest shelf, those shelves are even high for me to reach. And even though i reach it, the fruits i manage to get taste bad as well.

Blood grapefruits that are supposed to be red like blood are pale and mostly look like the inside of a pink water balloon . 

Kiwis are either to hard and sour or to soft and sweet. 

Oranges are to soft and rotten.

Apples that are supposed to be sour and firm, are sweet and powdery and have stickers on them that are impossible to remove. 

And on top of that, there is not enough fruits to get a fruit specialist like me to be happy.

This is just insane, the center that is supposed to be a center of wild, good and fresh fruits are just trying to get by on its bare knees and cant even compete with supermarkets that are selling everything from fruits to dog food and motor oil.

I can imagine that fruits its a hard market to handle but if your going to open a shop that is all about fruit, then LEARN about fruit and how to serve it before you sell it. 

And got damn, you can at least give me a smile when i ask for a special fruit instead of being rude. 

Crappy store, from today on, i close down the fruit center from my life for good. Shitty place.

Warm Day

Finally, yesterday was the first warm day of the year, like 24 degrees in the sun. Wonderful.

I worked as usual, came home and almost went to the gym and did a 40 minute arm run, it was a nice one, after that it was off home, i ate 2 eggs and some carrots after.

Then one apple about 11700, the big meal contained of a big pizza with alot of sallad, OK, its not permited by the rulebook of Operation Overload but sometimes when you feel that you deserve one, you just have to do it. It says so in the book anyway ;)

Finished the day with the 100-Pushups app, its pretty great, i can feel how many more i can do everytime i do it.
I am even getting some definition on my muscles. Cool stuff.

Apple

So, sitting right now and eating an apple, take it easy. On a break from work right now.

30 minutes of relaxation before going back to work.

Anyhow, yesterday i weighed in on 86,7 Kgs, i havent weighed so little since along time ago, it feels nice.. but hold your horses, after i had my big meal(s) i weighed about 89 kgs again, alot of food.
I need it because lately, work is getting harder and harder. And even the training, alot of running and further on.

I have more pressure on my back and even though i only work 6 hours you feel it anyways, 6 hour workday is good but its almost as hard as a 8 hour day. Phew..

Todays schedule looks like this.

Work to 1230.
Go home and do the dishes.
Relax.
Boxing pass on fighter centre. 1,5 hours.
100 Push-ups app.
Food.

Barbecue

I am pretty happy with my barbecue picture to the right with all the flames and stuff, pretty amazing what pictures you can take with an iPhone. We had a good barbecue this Friday with a good friend of mine and it was relaxing and good food.

Just came home from a walk with our little Luddeman, we are  dog watchers for Jessica's mother this weekend + some more days.

When i was out on the walk i get amazed how crazy people can be, on the end of the yard here we have a green house, in the green house alot of people live that are not so.. socially accepted. 

Like this crazy lady that scared the shit out of my good friends and neighbors Angela and Danne, in the middle of the night they started to hear plates smashing against the pavement. Full of curiosity they looked out, they saw plates flying out of a freaking window where an crazy lady lives. Plates where flying and it was nothing more, no shouting, no cursing just flying plates. Scary shit. 

We are hoping for good weather so we can barbecue with them today and bunker up on the good talk about the neighborhood and whats happening around it. We are like or own watch guards here, we know this neighborhood best except for the two old guys living here. ;)

Anyhow, i have been thinking of it lately, that sometimes i really miss those big breakfast's i use to have. I was a firm believer and still are (to some point anyway) that breakfast is the most important meal you can have on a daily basis.

But when i ate those big meals, i had a problem of hunger striking me almost 2-3 hours after, all the time. I used to go around and be hungry as hell all the time, and that annoyed me, so much time and money i spent at eating, its amazing. All those calories. And thats why i still prefer the warrior diet over a big breakfast, it saves me money, calories, and time. 

But still, money and time is not all

A healthy and good lifestyle is though. 


Running Wild

I didn't plan for any sort of workout today but because of the great weather i decided to take a run anyway, i made it 4,5 km until i met some good friends and walked from there, i had a bad pace, almost 7 min\km and that is no good for me, i used to run about 4:50\km so this is bad.

Well i burned some fat and loosed some calories and that is what counts in my eyes :)

Tomorrow is gaming day, play some games, take it easy and wait for Monday to come. 

Monday is all about fixing my haircut, sparring-lessons with some great MMA fighters and maybe get some kettle bell training done if i get it.

Before i forget, today the under eating phase was all about the power of the apple, coffee and vitamin. As usual. It works for me, very good.

10 Km

Just ran a 10 Km run on a stomach containing some Coffee and vitamins, its cool how i had the energy to go all the way without dying, sure i had a low km pace (about 6:15) but i managed the whole run! Cool as hell, 950 calories thinner! :)

Resting

Even though i am on my "Project Overload" i sure need some rest.

Today and tommorow i will chill out and take it easy. I came to think of some rest when i woke up today and realized that i have had a constant musclesoreness for about 3-4 weeks, in my legs, back, arms, calfs, breast and so on. CONSTANT!
Its annoying actually.
But it is also good because that means that i have done some nice training in various new ways, and the body says "hey, do you feel this?"..

I will spend these two day just stretching and trying to fix all these muscle issues before the weekend comes.

The bell wasnt in yesterday but thats fine, i will recieve it in a couple of days anyway. Its all gooood!

Warriordiet:

Yesterday i ate 3 apples and drank 2 cups of coffee plus some peanuts from 0500-2000. The nuts are not enhanced in any way, they are just NUTS.

And right before the training i drank some whey protein that kept me going until it was time for chickentacos, ate a whole bunch (lost count of how many actually).

Off to stretch some and then play some Xbox360 :)

Kettlebell madness, im about to go to the Fighter Centre to get my bell (i think its in).

Rage

Rage is a funny thing, i don´t seem to get upset or "raged" alot.
I dont know why, but sometimes you just cant help it and then "BOOM".

Yesterday i was away for a double session of Krav Maga because i could not go today (Wednesday).
I took the bike and was off, on my way i encountered several people going by bike in a walking pace, incredible how slow some people go by bike, it surprises me every time.
Dont they want to go home as fast as they could? And get some nice exercise as well?

Anyhow, after 3 hours of Krav maga i prepared to go home. OFCOURSE i had the luck of getting a flat tire, always these flat tires, why does it always happend to me? I had to walk back home, took me about 1 hour of fast power-rage-walking, i would get more mad but i knew that i was burning good calories on the way home, on a empty stomach. Stubborn fat, begone!

Yesterday was a shitty day at work, a pissy day at the shopping centre and on top of it my laptop-charger have given up and i cannot load the battery anymore, and to make things worse of course i get a flat tire on my bike and my car still sounds like a thousand thunders because the silencer is nowhere to be found (its broken and gone).

Im expecting rage today, maybe it will stay away if i run some kms after work.. But sooner or later it will pop out, like it always does.

Bought my kettlebell yesterday, 20 kgs, looking forward for some swings and snatches next week when it arrives.

Wonderful

A long weekend has passed and it was a tough one, but necessary and really fun.

Saturday started out with a early morning and start at Krav Maga Academy for a seminar in third person protection.
You basically get to learn how to protect your friends, beloved ones or just someone you need to protect against basic attacks like punches, strangleholds, knife threats and pistol threats. Its really cool and I learned a lot deal that some day may save someone a great deal of pain. (Hopefully not though)

After that it was off to the store to shop some groceries and meat, a lot of meat. Got home and surprised Jessica with a good meal (observe picture to the left : ) ).
I ate A LOT of food and not just because it was a hard day but I knew I needed the energy for the next day. After dinnertime it was relaxing and chilling in the sofa watching Lost, a great series that is about to come to an end, all the pieces of the puzzle start falling to place.

Sunday

Same here, up for an early start to go to the Krav Maga academy to finally learn about the sensation kettebell(s).
It was a hard day with all kind of cool and really good exercises that not just workout on one muscle or two, but the whole body. Its great, and even though it was about 5 hours of total kettlebell madness I don’t feel so sore in the body and muscles today, I guess that its coming tomorrow though. Anyways I aim to buy a 20 kg kettebell at first, and then go up when I feel that I can handle it. Looking forward to improve my core and body strength.

Anyway, before its time to log off. I have trained in the gym for a long time; I have been running and doing all kinds of stuff before.
But right now, right here, the feeling that comes to me is a great one, I am on top of the world and there is only one place to go, up!

Quick

Just going to write a quicky, update you about the situation.

Right now im haveing a relaxing time with my herbal cherry tea on my break. Its nice, Relaxation is as important as the training. Use the time well. And i make sure i do.

Anyways, yesterday i ran a new record using my vibram five fingers, i ran 3,33 km and had a pace of 5:17/km .
That means that i ran faster on the vibrams then on my regular running shoes. Thats pretty cool.

But today i had to pay the price, even though i stretched at least 10-15 minutes per calv in various excersices i still had a pretty heavy muscle soreness today.. well im not complaining. ;) Its nice actually.

Anyways, today i have to lay off the training and take care of my car, its nice to go on the bike but when its raining i rather go by car. (And it does rain alot in Gothenburg, believe me).
I have som problems with it but nothing a lite strength cant fix ;)

For all the non believers out there.

When i began with the Warrior Diet i had a lot of people who said that i was about to die, and break. People who told me that i was crazy, idiotic and weird. And still, here i am, stronger then ever.

Even though i just ate 2 apples, 1 cup of coffee i still managed to work hard, go 15 km by bike in a fast pace, and swim about 1 km directly after. Its a great diet and everything that i expected to work with the diet is working.

Like loosing weight (10 kg), getting more agile, feeling healthier and not being a slave for food anymore. Its great.

Now i am off to bed, or maybe just relax in the sofa some more.

Cycle Madness

Tuesday

Change of plans today, totally. Jessica is swimming 3 times a week and she always say that i must come and swim with her. But i never had time, but tonight ill just have to make time.

Will go by bike to work, and after work i will warm up my legs for 1 hour of constant cycling and then go directly to the swimming pool and have 40 minutes of intense workout there as well. :)

That means that there will be no gym or Krav Maga today due to this. But i will compensate that tomorrow of course.

By the way i tried the 100 Push ups Application yesterday and it worked fine, i don't know how they do the math or so but the goal with the App is to be enable to do 100 push ups within a month. They have some sort of program that calculates how many you have to do each time you train.

Example. Yesterday it was like this.

12 Push ups - Rest 1 min

10 Push ups - Rest

9 Push ups - Rest

7 Push ups - Rest

7 Push ups - Rest

9 Push ups (minimum) - Then you just go full out and do as many as you can.

Tonight its time for the 200 Sit ups Application, will see if that will give me anything as well.

Running done.

Monday -

First run for the year and first run ever since like 1,5 years ago. I have to say it was hard, but it always is. I have some cardio due to the bicycling and Krav Maga but i still dont have it full out.
Anyways, one cup of coffee and i was off, it went fine and after 2-3 kms i noticed that my body was burning fat, you can feel it in the stomach somehow, and its a nice feeling.

Except that its tough to run. But after, wonderfull.

Either way it was fine, i came home and drank some water, took a shower and had some vitamines and minerals then i went of to work on the bike. No problems, took an apple and started to work. Dont have any need for hunger and i drink alot of water and just took a proteinshake.

One thing that i didn wrong today before the run was that i didnt drink enough water, going to keep that in mind for wednesday though.
